Who is eligible for this program?

Women are Delaware residents; Have health insurance that doesn't cover screenings; Are aged 18-64 and not eligible for Medicaid; Are age 65 or older and do not qualify for Medicare

What are the Income guidelines?

  • Women are not eligible for health insurance from the Health Insurance Marketplace; Delaware Residents are eligible for Screening for Life if they have a household income between 139% and 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.
  • The Federal Poverty Level is based on annual household income and household size.
  • A household consists of the individual, their spouse, and all dependent children under 18 years of age.
  • Delaware Residents with an annual household income between 139% and 250% of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for Screening for Life if they are deemed ineligible for Medicaid.

What are the Insurance guidelines?

  • Uninsured: No medical insurance nor private HMO Not eligible for Medicare or Medicaid Not eligible for health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace or Underinsured: Unmet deductible (deductible must be more than 15% of annual income).
  • Insurance does not cover breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, and prostate screenings.
  • The SFL program does not reimburse for co-pays or co-insurances.
  • The program does provide reimbursement for persons who have a high deductible relative to their income.
  • If your deductible is equal to or higher than 15% of your income, you may be eligible for SFL if you meet all the other eligibility requirements.
