The Alabama Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (ABCCEDP).
Must be at or below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Must be uninsured or underinsured.
Women aged 40-64, or 65 and older with no insurance or Medicare Part A only.
Every other year, however high risk patients can be screened every year.
Women under age 40 who are very high risk for breast cancer.
Personal history of breast cancer, breast mass, first degree relative with breast cancer, and bloody nipple discharge expressed by provider.
Screening increases the chance to detect the disease early, when it is most likely to be curable.
